Introducing our Premium Freeze-Dried Fish Roe (or better known as caviar), a nutritional powerhouse for both cats and dogs! Sourced from the finest Ontario rainbow trout, these eggs are freeze-dried to preserve their freshness and nutrient-rich goodness. We use either Rainbow Trout or Salmon Roe depending on the season/ our suppliers.

Fish roe is a nutrient-dense superfood packed with essential fatty acids, protein, and vitamins. However, there are differences between all these fish roes.

1. Omega-3 Content (EPA & DHA)

- Trout Roe & Salmon Roe: Extremely rich in omega-3 fatty acids, especially DHA and EPA, which support brain function, joint health, skin, and coat  

2. Bioavailability & Nutrient Density

- Trout & Salmon Roe: Higher levels of bioavailable vitamins (B12, D, and A) minerals (selenium, zinc, phosphorus), and protein. These contribute to immune health, cell repair, and metabolism  

3. Purity & Heavy Metals

- Trout & Salmon Roe is  Sourced from Oceanwise certified fisheries that are cleaner and the fish thrive in well-regulated environments. Other fish may typically be harvested in large commercial fisheries where there may be higher exposure to pollutants like heavy metals and microplastics.

- Trout & Salmon Roe: Due to the higher EPA/DHA content, these roes are stronger anti-inflammatories, making them better for dogs with arthritis, allergies, or skin conditions.  Other fish (whitefish) while still beneficial, it doesn’t offer the same level of anti-inflammatory properties
